Not that I think many of you out there have missed me, but I have time to blog again!
I am a newly graduated Clinical Counsellor! Hurray! Woo-hoo! Woot!
Yes, I am "Dr Beth", but my training and focus was research. And I love people. Not that my research wasn't about people, but I want to help in more direct ways.
To this end, in September, I will have my own company and counselling service in place. That's the goal: I'm still setting it up!
It's been a great training experience. All of it has been educational, even the hidden agenda bits :-) I look forward to getting out on my own, getting supervision going, doing more training in trauma, doing more research and writing. Yes, I STILL love that!
One final word (don't want to run out so early in the posting :-). My dear mentor, colleague and friend, Dr Scott Borrelli, died yesterday. The world is a lesser place now. He was a gifted therapist, a wonderful teacher, a great researcher and fantastic, supportive friend. I will miss him dearly. I love you, Scotto!
